Celebrated 65th Independence Day

Independence Day, was celebrated with great pomp and enthusiasm, Sri Hrishikesh Sharan, I.R.S., Director General, Custom and Central Excise (Retd.) was the guest of Honour on this occasion. He hoisted the National Flag and spoke before the gathering. The boys performed March past, Band Display, P.T. Display , Yogasana, “Swagatam” Action song &  “Tribute to Bombay Brave Heart” 26/11/2008 – Maj. Saneep Unni Krishnan, Ashok Chakra.

Our GDA staff celebrated the Independence Day by a Friendly Football Match between ‘SWADES’ & ‘SWARAJ’.

In the evening of the Independence Day Quiz Competition was held among the students of class IX to XII in Vivekananda Sabhagriha. Class XI got the 1st Position and Class X got the 2nd Position.

Snacks packets were also given to all the students, guests and staffs.

We are extremely happy to inform that Central Board of Secondary Education (AISSE)  New Delhi, has conferred upon Master Mingkeng Lego of Class – XII (Passed) student of our school, a Certificate of merit for ‘Outstanding academic performance and for being among the top 0.1 percent of successful candidates.”

We feel proud to inform that this rare honour were also received by our two students in the year 2007 – Master Aditya Singh in Mathematics and Master Praveen Kumar in Chemistry.

Being poor, Mingkeng Lego, was financially supported by our school. We are happy to mention that he has succeeded in the following competitive examinations:

1. Medical (State Level)-  1st Rank 2. Engineering (State Level)-  2nd Rank 3. North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) -  1st Rank in open category 4. IIT  - 42nd Rank, All India Tribal quota 5. AIIMS  1st Rank All India Tribal quota 6. VIT  (Vellore Institute of Technology) – 721  All India Rank

Final Match of “Inter-Block Football competition”

Final Match of “Inter-Block Football competition” of Higher Secondary Hostel was held at Mahavir Stadium between Acharya Madhava Block VS Acharya Shankara Block. Acharya Shankara Block was the winner.
